Sydney | Australian batsman Matthew Wade will not be able to play for English County Somerset this season as he has been advised rest due to a knee injury. The 32-year-old batsman was to participate in the first season of county cricket but Cricket Australia has advised him to take rest to recover from the injury.
Wade said, “It’s a big shock.” I was ready for the challenge of playing in county cricket but after discussion with Cricket Australia’s medical team it became clear that I was not in a position to join Somerset. ”
